Alden Lai

You can call me Alden :)

Alden Lai is an award-winning professor in public health at New York University, and serves as a board member for the Wellbeing for Planet Earth (WPE) Foundation. He seeks to help scientists, policymakers, business leaders, and philanthropists better think about what it means for people to have a well-lived life, and how we can get there as a society. He leads the Global Wellbeing Initiative, a partnership between the WPE Foundation and Gallup, whose findings on the “harmonic principles of wellbeing” have influenced international research and policy. He received his BA in Psychology from the National University of Singapore, Master of Public Health from the University of Tokyo, and PhD from Johns Hopkins University.
